Worst extension yet.
Might as well get used to the fact that Snitker is here until he doesn't want to manage anymore.

Great news for Braves Nation. Snitker deserves it.
People can complain about every lost game or questionable move, but that's only because there's been nothing real to complain about.

I know I’m in the minority here, but very glad to have Snit managing us. I am a huge proponent of the idea that clubhouse culture is vastly undervalued-

What makes Snitker work is that he has a great coaching staff behind him. The best in baseball i'd argue. The longer we can keep this staff together, along with our core players, this team will be successful.

What makes Twit successful is a supremely talented squad. Managers don’t have a lot of say in wins and losses. Yes they can make dumb moves but that doesn’t always translates into losses. Just like all the right moves doesn’t translates into wins. What I don’t like is his reluctance to grasp modern stats along with his hank hill buffoon speech and look. Just annoys the crap out of me. So yes, I agree that he is here until he wants to leave. But I don’t have to like it. I mean I tolerated Cox for his tenure, and twit is better than he was.

Just came over to see the heads explode and to have some laughs. Great move for the team and a group of guys that obviously love playing for the guy.
The main positive I can say about Snitker, aside from the players seemingly love playing for him, is he's at least taken baby steps in accepting some strategy of the modern game, although not nearly as much as we'd like.
I've always maintained that a manager's job is 90% done outside of the game. The in game stuff is just the most visible.

Cohen funded half this contract. Having to beat the other team and an incompetent manager of their own team puts the Braves at a 2-3 game disadvantage
Clubhouse drama, communication style, character, off the field scandals, petty arguments with the FO playing out in public, etc. The most important part of a manager's job is not in game decisions. And I suspect it's these other areas that get most managers fired, not just losing games.

Braves have pretty much achieved or overachieved every year of his tenure so I do not really care about the rest.
managing people is hard. Most do it very badly.
Snit has been a very successful manager. People love him. He has done a good job with everything, IMO, except strategic decisions. I do not think Strategic Decisions are all his job.
We have a lot of other coaches. Can they not get one person to be the strategy guy? Can AA not lean on him more when it comes to pre-game decisions?
