I’d love to get the spin rate on his knuckleball too.

His splitter was ****ing unhittable. Him and Clemens had the best I've seen.

I’m guessing smoltz had elite spin rate on that slider, and he would have had plus spin rate on a 4 seamer if he had been brought up in the modern game. Then the split would have had very little spin, acting like an elite change up.

If a team had modern analytics back then I bet he’s the best pitcher in the sport.

I'd love to know the spin rates on:

    Unit's slider and 4-seamer
    Pedro's curve and 4-seamer
    Maddux 2-seamer and change.
    Clemens and Schilling Splitter.
    Smoltz Slider and Splitter.
    Zito's curve.

I’d love to see the extension data for Randy. I’d assume that would be 100% with a bullet.

Couldn’t there be a reasonable guess based off movement and speed to similar current pitches. I bet it will be done someday.

Might be able to calculate that yourself by looking at a replay.

Looks like Moylan is maybe taking Byrd's spot.

I liked Byrd as a sideline guy.

Not sure how I’ll be able to enjoy a Braves game again without Brian Jordan lying to me every other inning about something he claimed he did.

Just saw that and was so happy! I like Paul Byrd from time to time, but BJ was just proof that not all BJs are good.

Is there somebody pissing people off in charge? Chip, Jordan, and Byrd all leaving in the same offseason is strange.
