Will Sam Hilliard be The Truth in 2023?

It's hard to be overly excited or disappointed in ST numbers, but he's been a beast all spring. Plays great defense and hits the ball hard everywhere. I know in 2022 he was abysmal, but I think I read where he was in the 93rd percentile for EV, while lowering his K rate and increasing his BB rate. I think he's in for a big season. Seems like a prime rebound candidate, especially with the shift all but ending.

Don’t doubt AA bro.

Believe in two things for life : AA doing WORK, and dinosaurs ruining everything

I am just not sure on Hilliard. He isn't a natural platoon partner with Rosorryo and I don't see the Braves taking Sam over Eddie. So do they keep White and Hillyard and Sorryio?

I bet it's Hilliard in the big leagues and White in the minors. White has minor league options, Hilliard doesn't. With as much as AA prioritizes depth, I think that's the way this goes so they can all stay in the organization.

yes that makes sense, but both him and sorryio bat Left. So are we asking twitner to play the hot hand?

Looks like the same guy who strikes out a bunch, doesnt walk much, but has some power. His spring babip is silly so far.

Obviously has some power potential, but with his K-rate hovering around 30% he'd better do something well to make up for that. Appears to be a good defensive guy and not terrible against LHP, but not that much better than Harris. Don't know where he truly fits unless they just cut bait on Rosario.

White actually has reverse splits (quite severe reverse splits), so he's not the RHH guy they probably need to spell Harris v. tough LHP, but he's fast so he does have that going for him.

Always interesting to watch as the roster takes shape and who hits the waiver wire or may be a trade candidate to acquire late in the spring. That's how the Braves got Arcia. Wouldn't be surprised to see something similar to fill out the OF this year.

He walked at a 11.5% rate last year and is at 10% for his career. How is that not walking much?
