Soroka had 23 curveballs around 2700 RPM in this start tonight. That would tie him with Dylan Cease (his full season amount) for number of curveballs @ 2700 RPM. per @gvedak on Twitter
Also had ridiculous movement on his sinker and changeup…it sucks that Gwinnett changed their camera location so you can’t see the movement on his pitches
Check out some of his posts from last night

Seth Keller starting in Augusta tonight, an interesting 6th rounder last year out of high school. It was originally listed as LHP Adam Shoemaker, another upside guy. It looks like with all the starting options in Augusta that they're just piggybacking guys. Yesterday it was Cedric de Grandpre and Fuentes, looks like today will likely be Keller and Shoemaker. Schwellenbach throwing tomorrow, Owen Murphy on Friday and JR Ritchie on Saturday. Lot of interesting arms in Augusta.
Waddell 3-4, k
Didn't realize he was only 24.

Mike's gonna force his way back to Atlanta soon enough. Morton and Elder are really good slotted in as the 4th/5th starters. But Soroka is a potential ace. Atlanta has to see if he still has it. I want my play-off rotation to be some order of Fried, Strider, Soroka and Wright! Sorry Charlie.
Braves could just easily go 6 man rotation and when the inevitable injury happens this problem works itself out.
With the pitch clock, the 6 man rotation may end up being the norm anyways
Again, when you have a 6 man rotation that means 1 less BP arm to go to. So when Elder goes 5, then Mort goes 5.1 and Strider only goes 5... then your pen will be crushed.

Shewmake 2-4, 2b, sb
Waddell 1-4, sb
Solak 1-4, hr
Braves finally landed Nick Solak. I can't remember if it was Coppolella or Anthopoulos, but the Braves wanted Solak back from the Yankees or Rangers in some deal that was made.
Addendum: I forgot to add. I was following the Rome/Hudson Valley game on Gameday last night. Former Brave minor league IF Caleb Durbin plays for Hudson Valley (was sent to the Yankees with Indigo Diaz in the Lucas Luetge deal). In the 4th inning of last night's 8-2 victory for Hudson Valley, Durbin walked, stole second, stole third, and, after a pitching change, stole home as part of a double-steal.

Really interesting stuff on our young pitching prospects and Alvarez, plus an interesting write up on Guanipa, comparing his offensive profile to Trea Turner.
