My guess is Soroka will be up soon. Curious to see how the strategy to rebuild his approach will work.
that was my second point. Guys like Tokin/McHugh/Chavez/JJ/Yates/Lucas L are not elite.. (I know McHugh..blah, blah, blah) these guys are not elite.. then Minter is odd year Minter again. Every one of those guys are walking over 4 guys per 9.. That is why I said they are junk ballers who hope to get outs via deception versus stuff. When guys don't chase, they walk them.

Of the guys you listed, only Yates has what I could call an above-average fastball. I'm too lazy to look up the swing-and-miss on those guys, but it probably isn't that high.

I thought JJ was supposed to.. but he seems 95 and flat.. but that is only eye test.

Forgot about Jimenez. He's a hard thrower as well. Hasn't done well and I wonder if the Braves bought high on him. Hard to tell at this point.

Anderson has been a very pleasant surprise, but he, Minter (at least currently), and Iglesias are (or should be) the 7th inning-on guys.

Now Seth Keller placed on the IL in Augusta. The 2022 high school pitchers drafted are getting hit hard by injury.

He's had one good start right? I'd start him over a bullpen game. But otherwise I'd like to see him string 3 good starts in a row.

Plus we don't know what his pitch metrics look like. Maybe this was just a bad hitting team?

Last I heard he had made some major changes to his mechanics and he was all over the place.

He’s had 2 good ones in a row. And then before the one bad one he was also pretty good

Why are there so many elbow and shoulder injuries? It seems to be getting worse every year.

Another strikeout in the seventh inning for AJ Smith-Shawver. Brilliant second start despite battling his slider command

    7 IP, 4 H, 2 R, 3 BB, 8 K

(Tries not to freak out and over-react)

I’m with you. Having another impact starter would be huge. He definitely looks the part and has the size to be even better. Gonna be hard to keep him down if he has 2 or 3 more good starts in a row. I’d think that Soroka is ahead in the pecking order though.

Soroka scheduled for Sunday, seems they're being super careful with him. We cant keep doing these BP games though, it's basically an automatic loss everytime we do them.

Regarding AJSS, i'm not sure how aggressive we'll be with him. But AA is pretty aggressive in promoting guys so who knows.

There must be something they are wanting to see with Soroka before calling him back up.
