Let the guy go through half a season in AAA and see how he recovers, mmkay?
That is my take. I would love to see him make a start in Atl this Friday.. but it probably should be Shuster or just a BP game if they are well rested.

I know.. I am actually surprised they are not calling up a quad A pitcher for one of these games today since they get the extra player. If they call someone up Friday, they have to send someone down or a IL vacation.

Strider/Dodd today, then Mort tomorrow and everyone else on regular rest moving forward.

Elder didn't start off so hot either, but he's turned himself into a capable back end of rotation guy. Maybe experience is all some of these young guys need

If it wasn't the Mets I think they would likely do this.

are the Mets better than the O's? Personally, I don't think you make decision on roster because of who you are playing.. not this early in the season.

I'm okay with it. The new schedule has fewer head to head games vs the Mets so putting more distance between us and the Mets is an ideal scenario.

Especially when we are missing Scherzer and Verlander this go around. We likely see them both next time around.

Guess I don’t agree. Giving up a bunch of hits can be a fluke too. In fact I’d guess hits falling is more flukey than issuing walks. If he walked a bunch of guys that imo would indicate more of an actual issue.

    O's aren't a divisional rival
