Would love to see AA shock the world and sign Ohtani. Never going to happen in a million years but what the hell.

Fried's one of the few guys we cant lose. SP depth is becoming worrisome but AA's built a powerhouse for sure.

Agreed. If he keeps this up, they are going to need to surgically remove Kranny’s right foot from his ass.

I'm watching this game on delay and the first thing I noted is that A) it's on TBS, and B) Bob Costas is calling it. How surreal is that?

Costas calling a game and TBS ! Surreal indeed.

Tomorrow Boston is trotting out a BUM of a pitcher with a horrendous whip and ERA- we outta be able to score the ten runs we will probably need given that Shuster is taking the hill.

Now watch it be a 1-0 snooze fest.

Bullpen game tomorrow. Luckily, Shuster will stay at Gwinnett where he belongs.

Hope they start Jesse and let him go as long as he can. If he isn’t inheriting any runners he’s damn good. He could probably go three innings and then let tonk go three and we are set.

We're off Thursday i think, so we could go multiple innings from guys like McHugh and Anderson. Maybe try something like Tonk for 3, Anderson and McHugh 2, Iggy in one of the last innings, and whatever in one of the other ones.

Murphy up to a cool 2.4 fWAR after last nights game.

Acuna at 2.0 fWAR good for 4th place.

looking at fWar and comparing players that have been replaced since our WS title, it looks like AA has made the right call in every case.

Arcia is clearly trailing Swanson (1.5 to .8) but Swanson has played in 20 more games
Olson is out pacing FF right now. 1.3 to .9
Murph crushing WC 2.4 to .9

fun fact. Orlando is .1 fWar ahead of T. Turner with more than 100 fewer plate appearances. I thought that was the best signing of the off season. Thought TT would be great for most of that contract and he very well might... but early returns are not looking great.

AA extending Morton also appears to be the right call. He’s earned the benefit of the doubt when he makes questionable decisions.

Yeah i didnt like that at the time, but Charlie's been fantastic so far. Ton of movement on his breaking pitches, and good velocity on the fastball. Also, that Arcia extension is looking genius right now. 3 years/7ish mil WITH a club option is insane value for what Arcia does for us.

I said at the time last year, i still think we made the right move with FF/Olson. He was playing the long game, Olson isnt even 30 yet, while Freddie turns 34 i think this year. Freddie hasnt been bad, but 1B just dont age well in their mid 30's. Which does cause some concern once Olson gets deep into his contract but thats a story for another time.

Murphy's just been absolutely insane. Not sure he'll keep hitting like this but giving we didnt give up anyone like franchise level good, that was just an incredible deal. Also smart to extend him on that deal.

For some reason Turner has had a steady degradation of his contact skills. Its alarming and I'd be very worried if I owned the Phillies.

Correa is having an awful start too. Kind of wish the Mets signed him now.
