1) as normal, we are being way too dramatic.
2) 25-14 is solid. Losing streaks happen.
3) the worst part is the starters continue to play well. The bullpen is struggling and it’s mainly the guys who are supposed to be rock-solid. Minter’s stuff is too good for this. He needs to grow up, fast.
4) the offense continues to scold the ball but they end up being outs. it’s partially bad luck but they’re also just hitting it hard and not really positioning the situation well.
4) there’s definitely a preparation issue right now.
These boys are good but showing up unprepared is absolutely not ok. (Also, I’m totally kidding so don’t jump on me lol)
Went over to Mets board to see if their game was gonna resume or not, and saw this :
Boy, AJ Minter has been really bad for the Barves this season, yet they keep sending him and his 8.05 ERA out there in high-leverage situations. Got yet another "L" for his work today, so now he has 5 losses already, which seems like it would be hard to do for a RP on a team as good as the Barves ... unless you really suck, I guess

if only this happened last year
4-5
Minter needs to hit the DL and figure things out. I seriously think he's tipping his pitches. He's getting hit too hard for someone with that good of stuff.
Again, Minter is down a mph or two on his fastball. That makes a big difference for a strike out pitcher. There’s clearly something wrong with him physically. Maybe it’s injury, or maybe it’s just natural decline. But I really doubt it’s something like tipping pitches.

People on here and Twitter were freaking out about Iglesias’ fastball velocity being down yesterday, but it was truly down a small tick. The bigger problem was the last two hits against him were totally trash. I’m not saying there isn’t cause for concern, but if a couple of those brakes went the Braves way, we’d be singing a totally different tune. It’s baseball, man.
This is what needs to happen.
He went down after struggling early in 2021 and came back a beast down the stretch. His bad start to that year was very similar in that his peripherals were way better than his actual results.
At this point it's probably more in his head than anything else.
good news. after a tough weekend, MLB just gave the Braves 2 wins today... before they even play.
Coppy
Braves facing Cody Bradford tonight. This will be his mlb debut, and he's under 9 k9 in AAA. This will be a rough game for the braves. We always suck vs softy guys
