I gotta funny feeling we gonna pull this out of our collective ass somehow in the 9th.
We are due for a lucky inexplicable comeback win.
They got anybody like Minter in their pen?

$86m for Verlander and Scherzer. Have to love the production they are giving, or lack thereof

Can never get enough of this. And this was by far their best chance to get a win vs. Rays with Verlander making his Mets home field debut.
    And he got shelled.

And speaking of getting shelled, Jiminez sucks balls.

Has MH2 turned into Heyward? Every ab I feel like he’s beating the ball into the ground toward 2nd. I say that tongue in cheek, but I swear that’s all I’m seeing when he’s at bat.

Bring up Vodnik and AJSS. Stash
Minter down in Augusta, and release JJ outright.

Yacksel Rios, Gwinnett's closer will probably be up sometime this year. An older player who has had control issues his entire career but he's now throwing strikes. Check out his stats for this year. https://www.milb.com/player/yacksel-rios-605441

Maybe, I just don't see it. Jiminez is a 5th-6th inning guy with k9 over 12 and bb9 barely over 2. His babip is .382.

Yeah. On Vod I just can’t believe he busted like this. He had so much promise - even Aaron before he passed said something to the effect of “of the whole farm, Vod is the one to watch “
I always thought he was gonna be the TOR ace … and then the next Kimbrel.

Good side is that Shuster looked pretty durn good vs a super talented lineup.. if our pen coulda’ done their job, we scored the four required runs to win.
We had the best pen in baseball on paper when the season started too.
    My kingdom for O’VentBril….:) .

Yeah...I've watched him for 3 years. In Rome..there was no pitcher who made people stop to watch him like VV. He's still got stuff...but somewhere along the way, he lost that IT that I've seen. Perhaps he gets its back.

Mr. Deester, I sure hope you are right. At one point he - like MH2 - was on our “don’t even ask, he’s untouchable” list. Would love to see him make it- maybe just a cup of coffee to see if the bright lights do something and he suddenly clicks.
