Ken Paxton is all kinds of butt hurt that a county in Texas is using federal money from the American Rescue Act to give poor families 500$ a month in guaranteed basic income for 18 months. Just completely unacceptable to give money to poor people. We can only give money to rich people. Thats perfectly fine.

If you knew anything about Libertarians you would know there is no such thing as a real Libertarian. I just find it interesting that Paxton is such a prick that he is mad that a county is using federal money to give money to poor people. If it was state tax money I could understand, but its federal money given to them. Them not spending it doesnt make it magically go back. I highly doubt Paxton has any say over how a county spends federal money. His issue specifically is that its being given to poor people. That is all separate from what my personal beliefs are. Personally I think taking government subsidies should come at the cost of giving up certain rights. Like the right to buy tobacco, lottery tickets, and alcohol. Possibly even the right to vote. We subsidize bad choices people make and it just leads to more people making those bad choices because they know big brother will take care of them.
