Also, they must’ve changed the rule recently, because it used to be that if you PH for your DH, you lost the DH.
I think they altered it for Show Hey..

Maybe they should have clubhouse meetings at the beginning of every month.

Was that the rule? I thought you could pinch hit for the DH, but if you moved the DH into the field then you lost the DH.

I re-compiled those records. From 2013-2022 the Braves are 56-76 in west coast games for a .424 winning percentage. Overall, the Braves are 759-698, for a .520 winning percentage. (this excludes the 2020 season where the Braves only played east teams). They haven't won a series in Dodger Stadium since 2012, going 7-22 there in that span. They've been swept there 4 times.

I understand sending Soroka back down. It’s a shame that he didn’t get at least one start at home to celebrate his recovery. It undersells how remarkable his comeback was.

Nice work. I believe we just have one west coast trip left. Colorado, San Fran and LA. That one won't be fun.

This.. huge missed op to let the fans celebrate someone who worked so hard to get back. Dropped ball imo..

Huge fastball and Deester would know more, but I think his four-seamer is pretty much his entire arsenal. Fast-riser over the past couple of years. Went on the 40-man last winter to be protected in the Rule 5. Identical twin brother Rolddy pitches for Rome.

From Fangraphs on Roddery Munoz: His fastball resides in the 95-96 mph range with ride and run that explodes in on the hands of righty batters, and he mixes it equally with his plus slider, with both clocking in at 46% of his pitches. He throws the slider in the 89-91 range and it features mostly lateral action, almost like a cutter. This is his best bat-misser, with a whiff rate of 44%, a chase rate of 40%, and a strike percentage well above the big league average for sliders.

Probably because he has no idea where the ball is going. You aren't going to get many guys to chase balls way outside the zone.

Yeah, bringing him up is a head scratcher when you look at the season Rios is having as the closer of the Stripers.
