Where would the Twins be if they played in the NL East? Fighting with the Nationals?

That had to be a planed pull.. AA's nerds told Twit that he can not see that lineup a 3rd time regardless of the situation. It was a very good pull of Allard.. well done

Twins pitching is solid. They’d be right around the Phillies and definitely ahead of the Mets

He may have also been on a pitch count. His last start in Gwinnett was only his 2nd or 3rd appearance of the season and he through less than 70 pitches.

It's funny though. If the Twins had known Ober was going to step up, would they have traded for Lopez?

Probably not, because they are badly in need of a bat like Arraez's. The trade was pretty fair, but the Marlins came out with exactly what they needed.

This season notwithstanding, I still like Pablo more than LA moving forward. We see what happened to McNeil this year with even a little bit of regression / bad luck. That profile of player can old do so much if they don’t hit for power.

Entirely possible, but Twins so desperately need a reliable OBP guy. Arraez could fall out of bed and hit line drives, but he's not a very good defensive player and he's not a power hitter so there certainly is a limited ceiling. Lopez hasn't been the pitcher that the Twins' front office advertised (although he's been good), so the media up here is pretty sour. If Arraez were hitting .320 instead of .390, that probably wouldn't be the case.

Arraez is more like Ichiro than Jeff McNeil imo. We'll see how far his skillset will take him but he's one of the best contact hitters we've had in a long time.

Defense at least has looked really good lately after a shaky start. Ozzie the hitter is a known quantity at this point so hopefully that defense bounces back to above average.
