Olson‘s defense since coming to Atlanta hasn‘t lived up to its reputation from Oakland. Last season, the metrics were better than the visuals IMO, but this year, both are in tune. He‘s not a butcher, but also not an elite defender.

In the 4 aspects of a game. Hitting/pitching/defense/luck the Braves sucked ass in 3 of those. Oh well. The team has lost 3 in a row and still have the 9.5 game lead they had after Friday's win. Phillies now in 2nd. Knew the Fish would fall off.

We knew we were gonna hit a small skid at some point. Pitching will get better when Fried gets back. Thankfully AA didn’t hand Wright an extension after last season.

Olson isn't the most athletic guy around, but I don't think he's particularly awkward. It's just when he makes a miscue, he looks more awkward than he actually is. The visuals on him aren't that great.

Acuna has hit >350 in 2 of first 3 months of season. He is "only" at 333 this month. Its not out of this world that Acuna could finish this year at 350 BA.

He's been dropping like a rock which isn't unexpected. 376 now. He just doesn't walk enough or hit enough HRs to reasonably hit 400

Boys, we got pitching problems. We're erratic. Both injuries and ineffectiveness. And while Fried would help a lot, he's only going to cover 10-12% of the innings once he returns.

This staff is erratic at its best and all pitching health is a dice roll to start with. AA needs a couple of relievers, consistent ones. Lee and Chavez will certainly help. I'm worried about Iglesias, the rest have been uneven, Elder has turned into a pumpkin, Soroka isn't Soroka and Strider and Morton both go through periods of erratic command - Charlie has a back foot problem and Spencer has a middle-middle problem.

We can outscore this weakness a lot of times, but I'd sure feel better with a couple more relief arms and maybe a starter.

Braves are 5th in pitching fWAR, 3rd in FIP, and 3rd in ERA. And this is with fried out a ton. I'm not concerned with pitching as long as minter is back soon
