Millwood1hitter: Would you PLZ summarize each Braves' season since you've been a fan?

I totally realize this is quite possibly taking advantage of your prodigious writing skills, but I'm willing to paypal you like ten bucks(!) to make it happen!

Basically, I (and hopefully we) would be interested in a season summary of each year of your fandom - hopefully touching on individual players as well as the corresponding playoff series(s) of each year.

...would this be something you would consider doing? Your memory borders on the immaculate conception, and I can't think of anything else I'd rather read to get me through the days till the regular season.

    Yeah 2002!

I don't ever want to relive 2003 because of a number of reasons, and not just the Braves.

I'm sorry, the offense was fun but I hated that pitching staff with a passion. Maddux was still our best pitcher IMO but he for rocked early in the year. I hated Ortiz and his 6.1 inning outings that lasted days. Hampton wasn't very good until after the AS break, Shane Reynolds was freakin terrible, marquis was injured and ineffective with shoulder issues, byrd spent the year on the DL with TJ and I had to deal with garbage like Blowberto and burger Ray King and Gryboski and Trey Hodges and bong out of the pen.

God I hated that pitching staff. All of this after JSs blunder of economics of baseball stink trade of Millwood, having to watch him throw a no hitter for the freakin Phil's.

I totally feel your pain. In 2002 the Braves had the best pitching staff on the planet and not enough offense and in 2003 the Braves had the best offense on the planet and the pitching staff was total crap. But man it sure was fun watching the Braves belt all those homeruns. 43 from Javy, over 30 from Sheffield and the Jones boys. Furcal and Giles (well up until he got concussed by Mark Prior), both had fantastic years at the top of the order. Boy that was such a fun offense to watch.

The almost meltdown I was referring to was the mets nlcs in 1999 up 3-0 and needed a walk off bases loaded walk in the 10th I believe. 00 was that awful cards nlds series were both Maddux and glavine were hammered

Braves had to win the 1999 NLCS in game 6 in extra innings when Kenny Rogers walked Andruw to force home the game-winning run.

I never thought the Mets could beat us in 99. They were our bitch.
