Eddie against a lefty is a little perplexing… but he has hit Urias well at Dodger stadium

I don't know how anyone can disagree at this point the Murphy / TD thing is a problem. TD just played Wednesday night, its a showdown series with home field on the line, TD just had a 505 ops in August and your telling me Murphy can't play two in a row, get a day off and then play 3 in 4?

Keep making fun of my Murphy therapy, but I've been concerned about this for over a month, and we are seeing it play out that our manager is a bafoon that believes they are equal halves. Btw for Murphy's August "slump" he just finished the month with an 846 ops with 3 bombs in 55 abs.

and yes I keep beating this drum because 90% of the board thinks its strategic to rest Murphy, but I don't believe that - not with a manager that doesn't rest players.

The ironic part that’s concerning is Rosario is playing against the lefty because it’s a big game and snit feels like he “needs his horses out there”

Tonight is a good night to get TDA a favorable match up and hopefully get him going. We need both ready for the playoffs.

Wouldn’t it be a favorable matchup for Murphy also? Murphy should 100% be starting 5 out of 7 days. We signed him to be the primary C not a platoon guy. I like TDA but he is a backup at this point.

Yes but Murphy is also already hitting well. I'm not saying we signed Murphy to be a platoon guy but we're also running ahead. We need everyone to be as playoff ready as possible and this is as close to a playoff atmosphere as we're gonna get the rest of the way.

It's also likely that Murphy starts the next 2 games.

He could play a lot in the event something were to happen to Murphy or Ozuna.

I remember when they were running he and Scherzer into the ground for the stretch run division race with San Fran end of 2021. They were using them out of bullpen on their side session throwing days. It basically was the reason we had success against them in the LCS later on. I wonder if his velo just never recovered.

I don’t think playing Murphy 4/5 days is going to injure him down the stretch. Right now it seems to be alternating.

Snit somehow gave Ozzie a planned rest day when he didn’t do that all year for Olson Riley and Ronald. Arcia, Harris, Murphy, have all gotten rest days due to injuries.

I may be in the minority, but man when Fried is on, he’s actually more enjoyable to watch than Strider.

Strider is fun to watch. But Fried’s command of like 5 pitches, and way he attacks the zone is so beautiful to watch. Strider you know what you’re going to get. 99mph fastball with a 92 slider.

    Fried’s arsenal is so much bigger. 97mph fastball, 78mph curve, 88 changeup, 92 slider… a cutter.

I agree with this. Except it won't be fun when he's doing it for the Dodgers or Padres in 2025.
