Man I remember that streak. I think he hit like .200 the whole streak. And a lot of those one hit games where bloops or swinging bunts. I was amazing how lucky ole Danno was.

Your memory is bad. He hit 15 homers and had a
    1.200 OPS during that streak.

Man, I think you don’t remember that streak.

Incorrect. The lack of white trim on the sleeves below the piping looks janky as hell. Terrible change.

Was it bj Upton's you're thinking of? Seems like he had a long hitting streak of like 1 for 5 every day

To Matt’s defense - a couple of nights during that streak - he actually beat out a couple of ground balls for hits to extend it

Almost like every long hitting streak ever.

Ben Clemens: hard for me to imagine that their long-term interests are served by trading him for not much, they still do need to make the playoffs this year

While Arcia is "fine" at SS, the Braves do project at #24 overall for SS. If all AA has to do is beat the value of a comp pick, perhaps Adames is attainable?
    Why?

You know, that might be the case. It definitely wasn't Danno.

Didn’t Uggla have two pop up hits into short cf during that streak?

The Royals bought out at least 3 free agent seasons by guaranteeing $288m. If Witt plays well, he’s very likely going to opt out of this contract (unless this contract is significantly backloaded, even then he might still opt out). If Witt gets hurt or sucks, he’s still going to be paid like a top 5 short stop.

I’m happy for KC they get to keep their homegrown star, but it’s another data point that whatever market efficiency existed when AA signed all those guys to team friendly extensions has seemingly dried up.

Dude quietly had an amazing season.

You missed the assault me window anyway. It cutoff at 11 pm central yesterday. So no harm done.

Bobby Witt Jr. had a very good year for KC and at 23 you would think is only scratching the surface of his potential. But that is a ton of money to commit to a guy with a career OBP of .307. I suppose a team like KC has to take chances given they aren't very desirable to play for and have a limited budget. But given the state of their system, they would have been better off trading him for a boatload of prospects.

Yeah I vaguely remember him fisting a couple of hits over the infielders late in games to extend it

Not that quietly among the saber nerds. He was the top speed/defense guy in the league at a premium position.
