So are we just parking Wright in Kansas City to rehab for the year?
Granted I get Wright doesn't have much value... but from what I can see we just basically got back a bad AAAA reliever. Guess just to get rid of him before arbitration? We are really clearing out the roster spaces.
Woodruff non-tendered... what's the latest on his injury nightmare?
I don’t remember a time where AA has cleaned out the roster like this. It’s odd to witness.

Truly bizarre. This guy has no options left so we have to put him on the roster or dump him.
Anthopolous is not screwing around with the arb-eligible guys.
There's a very real chance Wright never pitches again. My UF background notwithstanding, I have no particular enthusiasm for Jackson Kowar at this point. But he's a lottery ticket.
So we have 34 players on the 40 now? AA is up to something.
Must be planning to be more active in free agency than expected
There HAS to be some major things being worked on... cleaning out that many spaces on the 40 man is exciting, strange, and a little nerve wracking
People keep talking about Wright deal as a money saver. MLBTR projected him to make $1.4 million, so it can’t be that. Just a really strange trade all around. The likelihood that Wright comes back healthy and contributes in 2025 feels significantly higher than Kowar turning it around, no? Not that either is particularly likely.
I don't think our medical staff did a good job with Wright. They were super confident there were no structural problems with his shoulder and held his surgery up about 6 months.
Losing both Soroka and Wright for essentially nothing in a 24 hour stretch is pretty depressing. Soroka was a great kid and I was stoked when Wright fell in the draft.
