I imagine it will revolve around free agents seeing there isn't a lot of minor league depth or fringe major leaguers to trade. I think one angle is with this much room on the 40-man roster, the Braves will be in a position to guarantee signees a spot on the roster instead of being a non-roster invite. Players in that strata likely won't be key contributors, but you have a leg up on filling out the bench with guys like that.

AA's pissed off, and it scares me and excites me at the same time.

Unless teams value guys like Dodd, Vines, Winans, and AA can cash them for a contributer...

Gotta land an impact starter after moving off from 3 of them.

Me neither. Rather crazy. AA has a plan with all this. It seems to me that’s the case anyway.

I don't know if he's pissed off, but it worries me a little bit if he is. You can want something too badly and that can mess up your train of thought. That said, there really isn't anyone who was shed today that is central to the project.

Hopefully Braves find a partner and trade Ozuna.

Really puzzled by the guys who were just acquired, then immediately non-tendered.

I also read that we had a slew of minor leaguers declare free agency.

Lot of spots to fill. Seems like a remake of the whole organization, with the obvious exception of the regulars on the MLB team.

Curious to see who all the minor league guys who declared free agency are, but it's no surprise. Gwinnett and Mississippi rosters were filled with a lot of retreads that were needed because the depth in the system is so poor.

AA probably likes Tonkin but got tired of seeing Snit use him in high leverage.

NLDS with a rested bullpen and all those days off in between Games 1,2,3 was probably the last straw.

Don’t get surprised if AA trade Max Fried…
I think trading for Corbin Burnes and Adames both players getting a extension. Then sign Rodriguez or Montgomery is a solid rotation.

I’m wondering if the roster spots are being opened for a large haul for a big name.

Perhaps AA has taken a vow of poverty and is working to get the 40 man down to 0.

You don’t need 10 open roster spots to sign a big name FA. I am on the edge of my seat waiting to see what AA is up to.

    Intriguing!!!

I do wonder if Fried could be traded for prospects and then flip those players for a controllable player.

If Fried could be flipped for prospects and those used to get Cease and or Robert and then sign Yamamoto or Montgomery would you do that? I would.
