There’s no way there is room in the big league bullpen for him, so I’m curious how they decide to roster him.

He's on a minor league deal so he'll start the season in the minors. Lee can be optioned when it's time for either Giles or Chavez to join the roster. Stephens is a guy you might be able to get through waivers. Injuries are always a factor too.

I do think Giles will be added to the roster at some point, and contribute.

Diamondbacks manager Torry Lovullo said Randal Grichuk (ankle) will open the season on the injured list.
The 32-year-old is not fully recovered after offseason ankle injury. Lovullo said the veteran outfielder would be ready to be used as a DH, but not having him available to play in the field is not a benefit to him or the team.

I chuckled. Guy wasn't healthy enough to play the field.

I always hated how MLB starts the season with a ton of afternoon games and during the middle of the week. I wish they’d start the season on the weekend.
