Strider is such a baseball nerd I don’t think he’d waste time throwing a pitch if it didn’t have really promising data feedback. He knows what he’s doing.

Sale sitting 94-96 in the first inning. Throwing the slider for a lot of strikes, threw two changeups as well, last one got Ke'Bryan Hayes to ground out.

Sale is obviously the big news of the day, but Owen Murphy sitting 94.2 mph today is also pretty interesting. That's a new level for him based on pretty much every scouting report on him. Obviously just about 30 pitches, so nothing to go crazy about yet but would be nice if it holds.

He was also throwing a curveball, slider and cutter.
