If I have $500 dollars, I wouldn't wanna tie $400+ up for a long period - court hearing.
The fact that Trump has 4 criminal trails and 2 civil trials going on in 2024 isn't a coincidence.
He could have had a number of them last year but his main defense is to try to delay until he can hopefully use the Presidency as a shield.

I had some fines I didnt want to pay once. Let me tell you how that worked out. Spent 16 hours more in jail than Trump did for stealing classified documents when he was arrested.
