He's had TJ before I think, so he should have an idea if it's that or not

Feeling it will be just sore. No tear. Shut him down for a month and move on.

Snit didn't have any issue pulling fried in the first inning with 40 pitches.

Fried was getting squeezed and getting a bit unlucky. Strider was laboring out there very clearly and all over the place.

The pen had two days off. Anthopoulos built a deep pen with more depth in minors. Just stupidty.
The fact they pulled Fried should reaffirm they’d pull Strider immediately if they thought something was wrong. It’s always amusing how so many on this board act like this manager/coaching staff have no idea what they’re doing - that they don’t have a much larger stake in Strider’s and the team’s success.

Let’s not assume that it is a worse case scenario just yet, as hard as that may be to do so. Let’s just see what the results are. Hope for a strain or inflammation or something of the sort. Just hope and pray

I mean for ****’s sake do we really think Kranitz went out there, had Strider tell him his elbow was hurting in the sixth game of the season, and Kranitz was like, “Eh, let’s just get the third out.”

Yeah but this would be his second. Come back percentages go down quite steeply when you get to number 2

That ain't good. From what I see it was almost exactly 5 years ago. A second TJ 10 years apart isn't a huge deal but 5 years.... Not sure about that.

Assume the worst hope for the best. Anything elbow related ain't good.

Have to assume no matter what Strider is heading for the IL. Interested to see what the corresponding roster move is. I think the Braves should look to reset the rotation. Go Fried tomorrow then bullpen game Sunday. Morton starts on Monday. Sale goes Tuesday after a couple extra days off and Lopez gets an extra day and goes Wednesday.

The rotation is reset from there. In addition Sale and Lopez are set up for extra days off and the 5th starter would only be needed on the 15th and the 30th allowing for an extra bullpen arm.

Would have to think Elder gets the call up....although I would prefer Smith Shawver.

Not good re Strider. There's depth to cover for him if he's out for a month or so. If it's season-ending, welp.

Braves won WS without Acuna. Rangers won WS without degrom and a busted up scherzer.

That would be a big blow. I’d rather see AJSS than Elder. Pray it’s not TJ and he just needs some rest. If it is TJ does that pressure the team into resigning Fried?

I don't know how much stock should be put into spring training one way or the other, but Smith-Shawver didn't pitch all that well down there. He was working on developing his change-up so it's difficult to discern how much that had to do with his uneven performance this spring.

So I figure if we haven't heard anything by Gametime, it's probably bad news.
