I'd take a shot at Bauer but no way AA signs him.

Sure wouldn't mind having Snell for 2/62 or Monty for 1/25 about right now.

A trusted starter near the top of the rotation would be the preference.

from Braves twitter- Spencer Strider today underwent an MRI that revealed damage to the ulnar collateral ligament in his right elbow. He will be further evaluated by Dr. Keith Meister in Arlington, TX, at a date yet to be determined.

Oh well, last time we lost a star at this level, we won a championship.

We had several other good hitters and a lot of things fell right into place. We now have to rely on injury-prone Fried, injury-prone Sale, and 40-year-old Charlie to somehow get through the year unscathed.

Let's not act like losing one of the best pitchers in baseball is a good thing. It's a big loss. Now we need Fried who hasnt been the product of perfect health, Sale same, and Morton who is 40 to get through the year.

Really frustrating that Strider continued pitching last night if his elbow was bothering him all game like Snit indicated.

And if he really did wait until after the fourth to say something, that's remarkably stupid on his part. Thought he was way more intelligent than that.

There is absolutely ZERO chance Snit lets him keeping going back out had Spencer made it known his elbow was bothering him...People need to stop trying to blame this sh*t on Snit as if Strider doesn't throw 100 MPH and with a curve.

Who were the starting pitchers in our WS run? The playoffs are a toss of the dice these days... just get there and hope you're hot

Man this one hurts because the rotation was already so damn fragile (yes we are deep with AAAA pitchers but the difference makers are fragile at this point)

I've made a separate thread about the Strider news. Move the discussion there, please.

While true, you still want as many good players as possible. Losing Strider isnt good. But if we have them, a top 4 of Lopez/Sale/Morton/Fried is probably better than our 21 rotation. Plus the bullpen is stupid deep. End of the day, playoffs wont matter if the bats go quiet again.
