I hate to say it but our IF defense has been better even with Washington leaving.

Sounds weird but sometimes it takes someone leaving for the things he taught to really sink in. Not that Weiss isn’t doing a great job, but those lessons Wash taught are instilled into their head and they seem to be excelling at defense this year.

I just look at it that the difference between Bonds hitting ability and Ohtanis doesn't make up for hte fact that Bonds couldn't pitch and Ohtani is a top 20 starter currently.
