Kershaw back to the Dodgers per Alden Gonzalez of ESPN.
The Braves and Jake Diekman have agreed to a minor-league deal, and he's in camp now. I like this pickup a lot. In 2023, he was fantastic. And he's had a nice career. It could be a really strong move, or it could be nothing. It's a no-lose situation regardless.
Is it even worth winning a World Series if your GM only has a bachelor's?
You're being reasonable by asserting falsehoods about my fandom?
I think Liberty and AA suck. Sorry you don't agree with that.
We need a rich Southern man who appreciates the franchise and will spend like Cohen does and, once upon a time, Ted Turner did.
The Braves window with this current group, as far as I'm concerned, is closed, and it's because we had a D offseason (per Enscheff)
The Mets are only going to get stronger from here as the Cohen Era matures. The Phillies are right there. The Nationals are exiting the most painful part of their rebuild.
Go ahead and insult me and accuse me of being a Dodgers fan like a true homer would.
Maybe you want to list all the minor league AAAA idiots that will fill out our rotation like the other homers do. Haha.
I've always really liked Diekman, though I recognize that's more about vibes and how dominant he can look in any given appearance than a true reflection of his overall effectiveness (he's got 3.2 WAR for his career and an ERA+ of 108). I think you have to assume this signing isn't going to be anything, but it's probably worth a shot.

man, if I were any NL team playing the Braves in spring.. I would direct my guys to fail against every quad A player they toss at me.. you know twit will fall in love with 2-3 of them and start the season as 7th and 8th inning guys.
Coppy
The Braves -- and Anthopolous specifically -- have publicly said, over and over and over again, that they believe it's vital to the culture of the team for their regulars to play every day, where they mean "every day" as close to literally as possible. I personally disagree with that, and very strongly so, but I think it's probably best at this point to take them at their word and stop assuming that this is just Snitker not remembering he has bench players and Anthopolous deciding it's not worth the trouble to remind him. It is, I suppose, possible that this is a Snitker thing and Anthopolous has just decided that he isn't going to fight over it, but I think the Occam's Razor explanation is that Anthopolous believes it too.

This will probably be Snits last year I'm hoping.
You may want to reread what I actually wrote.
Claiming something follows sound logic does mean I agree with it, like it, or want it to happen. It’s possible to disagree with a logically sound decision. I literally said exactly that in the post you quoted.
And no, “anyone” wouldn’t have made the Sale trade because nobody else did. Nobody else thought Sale’s injury history was worth the gamble, including the Sox, which is why they dealt him away. If Sale had sucked everyone would have said it was a terrible trade because few people can review process over results.
You are just throwing a temper tantrum because you’re upset the offseason was awful, and it’s exactly the same as whining about a losing streak. The entire organization is still top notch, and the Braves will still challenge for a title.

I can tell it’s time for ST to start. The Braves fans are so anxious for something to happen that we have lost all sense of hope, and turned on each other.
We need some reports from camp to talk about instead of the off-season.
