Not according to this from The Athletic.

Andruw has gained 10 votes this year from last among returning and new voters. He ended last year at 61% and was at 69% for announced ballots. So if he ends this year in the high 60's that bodes well for him with 2 more years on the ballot. I think he gets in but it's going to be on his last time on the ballot like Wagner this year.

If Druw doesn't get in this year, then he likely gets in next year. 2026 is a weak year. Hamels and Braun are the best newcomers and neither one is particularly close to being a HOFer. Hamels racked up a lot of bWAR, but no hardware. Only 163 career wins, even in this new era, isn't particularly impressive. Braun has the PED stink on him and isn't a HOFer even without it.

Andruw should be the best name on the ballot next year. While that doesn't guarantee he gets 75%, it seems very likely given he's gonna be so close this year.

Good point with next year being a weak year. Beltran getting in this year would help him too.

Druw holding steady at 72.8 with over 50% of the ballot reporting. It might be really close.

It's also nice to see Utley finally getting recognition. The best 2 bagger of his generation. Only a roided up Cano was close.

Andruw ended up with 66.2 percent of the vote. He's well-positioned to get in, either next year or the year after.

Chipper said it best, if Druw has that career fully in NY, he’s a first ballot

Good jump for him. Having no newcomers on the ballot next year that are going to get in should help him. I'm thinking both he and Beltran get in.

HOF is a joke when guys like Andruw have to be on a ballot for 10 years to be considered. Dude is easily a top 3 centerfielder of all time and has the WAR to back up being a first ballot HOF... I wish we could just blow up baseball and build it back from the ground up with people who don't sit on rockers yelling at the sky all day.. and I am not far from being one of those guys..

The voting is actually getting better now that a whole bunch of people have been purged over the past few years.

Are there other players that had 60 WAR before their 31st Bday who are not in the HOF?
