He used to do that crap all the time. I remember a couple seasons ago he baited Tim Hudson on a ball call. He took his mask off and yelled "That's outside Tim!!!"....I can't stand him. I also believe people give Jim Joyce waaayyyy to much credit. I think he's an awful umpire as well but it gets over shadowed for his pansie @$$ tearful apology after the blown perfect game.
