Saw this the other day and was absolutely fascinated by the thought of it - What would the night sky look like if the planets were the same distance as the Moon?

    We wouldn't be a planet.

I like the last quote though. Considering the Moon does affect our moods and mindsets and such, having a large planet like Jupiter next door would probably make us considerably different people.

Having Jupiter as a roommate would make us considerably less alive.

Dalyn, I just realized your original posts are actually links to what you were referencing. I didn't know what you were talking about, and didn't want to look like a big dumb dumb in the Science thread. Which is now making me look like a bigger dumb dumb. I shall read/watch those links after work! (Didn't even know who this "TED" guy was.)

Oh. And TED Talks are awesome. I've watched nearly all of the ones available online.

Obviously you never saw Ghost. Psychics help solve crimes all the time.

And an article just popped up somewhere today about 'Are We on the Verge of Extinction?' or something, and I saw TED attached to it. I was like, Hey, that's Dalyn's TED! So, my interest piqued, I researched it a bit. Sounds like a fascinating convention!

    That's how it works.
