    Former Atlanta Braves team

Very bored and was thinking of former Braves players still at the major league level. From 2009-2013 construct a 9 man lineup with a DH, 1 bench player, three starting pitchers, and a closer.

    Michael Bourn-CF
    Martin Prado-3B
    Adam LaRoche-1B
    Brian McCann-DH
    David Ross-C
    Melky Cabrera-RF
    Yunel Escobar-SS
    Omar Infante-2B
    Gregor Blanco-LF

    Kelly Johnson-2B/LF

    Tim Hudson-SP
    Rafael Soriano-CL

Are not a lot of starting pitcher options. Hanson is still in the bigs? I didn't think so.

Part of your problem is sample. We haven't lsot many FA SP aside from Huddy who wasn't old or broken down (Hanson/JJ)

From 09-13 our SP have been

Javy (out of baseball I believe?)
    Jurrjens (broken)
    Lowe (old)
    Kawakami (eww)
    Hanson (broken)
    Hudson (old but good)
    Medlen (with the team)
    Minor (with the team)
    Beachy (with the team)
Randall Delgado (second best option it seems)
Maholm (ehh fighting for second best option)
    Sheets (broken)
    Julio (with the team)
    Garcia (bum)
    Loe (mega bum)
    and wood (with the team)

Most of the good ones are still with the team in that time frame. Braves are generally good about keeping guys through their usefulness on the pitching staff.

Unfortunately we have lost one too many good position players because of money (Mac, Ross, etc.) and others we've used as trade leverage to some success.

So I guess Delgado and Maholm are the only other options.

Former minor leaguers are former Braves in my book. We could go with Adam Wainright and Matt Harrison. Oops never mind edited. 2009 on.

Fair enough. I just picked 2009 because it's five years prior to now. Not five off seasons though. There was no rhyme or reason I did this.

Well he said Atlanta Braves. Not former Braves. Just to be anal.

BTW I fully came into this thread expecting to see Waino and was gonna be a jerk.

Yeah, why restrict this to '09-'13 former Braves? It's useful to see who's good or better than before.

There really isn't too much before then that's still in baseball and good. Teixeira is all I can come up with who would surpass anyone on Niners' list.
