I just have two questions, and I'm going to try my best to avoid bashing anyone.

First, what is everyone's thoughts on what a hitter in the second spot of the lineup should be able to do? Second, if I assume correctly and those of you who answer know what you're talking about, Does BJ fit that description?

None of us want BJ in the 2 hole. Its just the consant complaining and bashing of players that gets old.

That's fine. Not here to ridicule him. He just doesn't fit there, and it should be apparent that literally everyone on this team minus the three catchers should be in that spot ahead of him.

I'm pretty sure that isn't how it works.

There really isn't a viable option to bat second. I think Simmons is our best option.

Simmons is the best guy available. Doesn't strike out, decent pop, decent walk rate, and has some speed. And ideally I think that's what you want.

Simmons, CJ, Justin, Heyward (but then who would bat leadoff), Uggla and Freeman (can't move him). Not saying they all should bat there, but they're all better. Pick one.

That's JUP power right there. Looked like he missed it by a lot when he first hit it.
