So much negativity surrounding Fredi, BJ, Uggla...
How about round of applause for our best player right now, Mr. Frederick Charles Freeman.

Never thought he'd develop into the player he is... still can't believe he's only 24 for most of this season.
Every at-bat I'm disappointed if he doesn't walk, get a hit, or homer. His eye for the plate and pitch recognition seems to be vastly improved, don't care what Zito's pitch f/x numbers or whatever say otherwise.

See, at chopcountry.com, everyone gets Freeman hugs. At Scout, it was just the admins.
edit: oh, this is a Freeman appreciation thread. Well, forget it then, you petty tyrant.
Freeman is having an insane season. The most impressive thing about his season is he's got more BBs than Ks. Hes totally locked in right now. Everything about his stats is positive right now. Even though he's he's at the lowest swing% of his career, but his contact% is through the roof. And pitchers aren't throwing much in the zone (28.7% of all pitches)

He's undoubtedly the team leader and thoroughly enjoys playing baseball. He's worth every penny we are paying him, the only problem I have with his contract is I wish it was 10 years instead of 8.
They have admins? I thought Kim Jong-Un (Paddio) sent them to the dogs to be eaten alive. I've managed to escape...barely...and not a political prisoner anymore who was given a second chance, thanks to SAV and his wonderful graces. The Supreme Leader (Paddio) does not treat his cabinet well and if you displease him, you need to either escape or worst (or better) be banned permanently.
Oh and happy Freeman hugs to everyone. We are watching the torch passed to the next Mr. Brave right before our eyes.
I wish we had some more reliable OBP in front of him. The kid is a beastly hitting machine.
I've been skeptical of some of the higher-end predictions for Freddie's career. I'm less so, now.
He's alright but he's no Ike Davis

He is the new Chipper Jones. He has steadily improved every year and really started his breakout in the second half last year. I think he will win an mvp soon if not this year.

He's a beast, said it before, his contract will be a bargain in a few years.
Still not sure why teams are pitching to him with whose ahead of him.
First person to speak any negativity here should be banished!

MLB leader in OBP, SLG, which naturally means leader in OPS.

And to be doing this very low key, without any special fanfare, and right after his big contract just speaks volumes to his character and makeup.
He basically the second best hitter in.the majors right now. The team will be built around him moving forward. His walk rate is about to spike as teams will just not pitch to him anymore. Last night ibb is just the.beginning.

At the beginning of last season I stated on another board [not a Braves board] that he was better than Bryce Harper and got basically laughed at. At the end of the season I was hearing from the same people how 'his BABIP was way too high, his production isn't sustainable.' [A Marlins fan in partcular was beating this into the ground, LOL] I love it when people think that Sabermetrics can tell them about a player without actually watching him play. Freddie will be in the MVP/batting title mix for years to come.
