Uggla is 1 for 15 against Gio. Glad Fredi decided this was a good time to give Pastornicky a game.

    I like this lineup.

CJ has been struggling lately, Uggla could of course use a day-off and Pastor needs a start, and routine day-off for Gattis who has been hitting better lately however.

    Will be tough vs Gio.

Pastornicky for Uggla makes sense given Uggla's record against Gio. CJ does look like he needs a day off but I would have put Pena in there on a day when a righty is going. Pena is not nearly as good from the right side.

Oh crap! You're right, Pena is batting right-handed today. He's completely useless from that side and that's not an overstatement either. 11-for-89 for his career from that side.

Yeah. Especially since Pena isn't as good from the right side. Just play Tyler at third.

Bobby used to throw the B squad on getaway or Sunday afternoon games.

    He personally told Fredi this.

The only thing I like about the "B" lineup is that it's kind of like an insult to the Nats… "Hey, we're better than you, so we don't feel the need to play our best against you"

In about a hundred ABs vs LHP, Pena has featured an OBP akin to a BJ Upton batting average.

This is MLB.com's headline for today's game:

"Braves look to ride Harang's hot arm to sweep of rivals"

I don't even know where to start.

Last night should have been "Braves dispose of Werthless Nats, look for series sweep."

No, that would have been WAY too good for mlb.com.

Fredi on putting Pena out there vs a lefty where he has struggled batting right handed.

"I wanna see if there is something there, we'll throw him in there against one if the better lefties in the game and see what he's got. We're looking for another right handed bat to go along with Laird, we don't have anyone else, we'll see if Ramiro is a fit here."
