I think the transcriber got it wrong. I always heard "Dago mustache."

If 1 is Chavez, then 2 is Harang. The five year difference would be accurate.

I doubt either of these guys keeps up what the doing at the rate they are doing it, but the season is a marathon and if we can get a couple of solid months out of Harang, I don't know what the gripe about him would be. Rick Mahler won his first seven starts in 1985 (all but one starts 7+ innings and < 3 ERs) and ended up 17-15. The 1985 Braves were a horrible team, so W/L kind of goes out the window, but Harang wouldn't be the first guy to come flying out of the box and hit a wall. What I can't understand is why we don't enjoy Harang for what he is and has done as opposed to worrying about the statistical downturn that is likely to happen. He was signed as a bridge guy to help the team until everyone is healthy and while I want him to continue to do well, I'm not going to go nuts if he has a dramatic fall-off. He's done what was expected.

So the pitcher who isn't pitcher 1, can we call him pitcher 2?

So insane. I watch Oakland a lot, and he looks nothing like Chavez of old. Young is a great coach.
