Due to hype probably not. But take the names off the jerseys and I bet you would get a different reaction.

You are probably right ... but, if Jason puts it together offensively (which I think he will) then there's not another player I'd take in baseball.

Except that he hasn't, at least this season.

I'd take Harper over Heyward long term because he's younger. If I had to pick who's a better player now and in the immediate future I'd take Heyward.

No he really isn't. Carpe is the worst. That should be a well known fact.

I agree, but it's frustrating that for the past couple years we've been waiting for him to be the player we all hope for but there's always something holding him back.
Yes, he's still young, but at some point soon be needs to show some consistency.

With his run of high average, Jason is almost back.

His BB rate is a touch low, his K rate is a touch high and his power is way down, but a hot week of walking and hitting a few doubles and homers and he could be back to being Jason. Of course I doubt it happens that quickly. I'm just glad that his climb back has started.

Yes, he's been coming out of it nicely. Surprised its not been a catalyst for the rest of the team which is dreadful.

Well Freeman has pretty much slumped while Heyward started to hit better. Of course Justin is Mr April so now that's it's May he will start to slump too.

Yeah the walks are down a bit and the power is way down. But he's hit safely in 11 of his last 12 games to a line of 333/360/417 - 120 wrc+. The power will return soon enough. He had a power spike in ST so I suspect that will return within a couple of weeks.
