LHP Mike Minor will make his first start of the season on Friday vs. San Francisco.
Logical move is to put Hale in the pen and send down Varvaro or Scholosser, whichever has options.

DOB says on Twitter that Hale is indeed in the bullpen "for now" and will "probably" stay there, though nothing has been officially announced yet.
Varvaro is out of options, so likely Schlosser will be the one sent down. This is a good move, having Hale around is great insurance and he's pitched well. The interesting move is next week when Gavin Floyd is ready to come back. My guess on that is Wood goes to the bullpen and Varvaro goes, don't know though for sure.
I don't think Floyd should just be handed a spot. But it will be interesting. Wouldn't be opposed to experimenting with a 6-man rotation.
if they replace Wood with anyone they are nuts

Wood going to the bullpen would be like a forest fire.
Forever Fredi
I think putting Wood in the bullpen would be going against the grain.

Well, Wood got shellacked tonight. It was a real stain on his record. You certainly can't whitewash over his performance against the Marlins. I hope they can strip Wood of the memories that will probably be bugging him between starts.
The real reason why Wood wants to stay in the rotation:

Wood> Floyd. Floyd should just be insurance right now imo. Plus Alex is a key part on 2 of my fantasy teams, so there's that to consider lol
