The Chosen One (05-02-2014)
Greg Walker probably salivating at the prospect of turning a player who walks more than he strikes out into a 200k a season hitter. It's the ultimate challenge...

I don't think it's clock related. Fredi and Uggly have been on the same team for 8 seasons. He's seen the best of Uggla so I bet he's more than willing to go to bat for his boy and buy him time to improve himself. I have little doubt that at the latest of the end of this month, UGgla will be hitting, or TLS will be in the majors.
Pena and Pastor are good bench players. Both suck as starters.

LaStella is in AAA so he can get regular AB's. Pena and Pastor have already "proven" they're utility guys, not regulars. TLS will get the call when we pull the plug on Uggla. I don't think there much speculation in any of these three points.
Now will LaStella be better than Uggla? That's speculation. If he isn't I guess Pastornicky will get another shot.
There are a wide range of options between releasing Uggla and playing him every game. I'm hopeful that the game off yesterday is a sign that Fredi will start availing himself of those options.

I agree Pena and Pastor are nothing more than utility players, but Uggla isn't even that at this point. Platoon them until Tommy or someone from the outside is brought in.
Well his strike zone by definition would be non existant, so of course he would walk every at bat. He would probably chase the ball when hit and be out for running out of the bade paths. Rather have him replace Milwood as a poster. I am sure what he would type would be intelligent.
