Who would you replace Gonzalez with?

In the event Fredi gets his arse canned who would you replace him with...and while we're on the subject, who would you replace Walker/Fletcher with? Personaly, I think the team needs a Jim Leyland type.

I'll start the rumor: Chipper Jones will be the next Braves manager.

I've always really liked Ned Yost.

As far as hitting coach, probably Andres Galarraga.

Chipper will probably be the hitting coach within the next few years. It just makes too much sense.

I've been saying this organization needed a culture change. Not just for the sake of doing one, but to take us to new heights. I'm sorry but I just don't envision Fredi Gonzalez as someone that commands respect. Seems like too much of a "good old boys" mentality in the organization. I wish we could get someone like Joe Girardi to be honest.

I actually think there has been a pretty huge culture change since Wren took over. Most of the guys who worked under Schuerholz have moved on. Minor league staffs are different and the Braves have been going outside the organization to procure a lot of the instructional talent (which seemingly wasn't the case under Schuerholz). I think Wren has been a mixed bag in terms of his decision-making. I see Fredi pretty much like Bobby Cox in terms of the decisions that are made. I think his style is very different.

I think Fredi is less of a problem than Wren and I'm not particularly enamored with Fredi's capabilities.

I wouldn't mind Scioscia, Bruce Bochy or Joe Maddon. Idk if he'd be interested, but a wild card would be Tony Gwynn. At least as a hitting coach.

The answer is Fredi Gonzales. He is going nowhere.

I wouldn't expect it, but if this team tanks this year without many significant injuries, he at the very least needs to be on the hot seat. This organization deserves high expectations.

Yesterday, I'da been all over that. Today, after seeing the lineup, and despite everything I know about baseball, I'd say Eddie Perez or Brian Snitker.

Pendleton always impressed me as the best leader the Braves have ever had. Now this was back when he was a player. I know his image around here was hurt by perceptions he didn't do well as a hitting coach. But that was mainly because of his inability to fix Francoeur and Andruw, and we've seen from the subsequent careers of those two that probably no one could have fixed them. I know someone who goes way back with Pendleton (back when they were both college players) and he thinks very highly of the Pendletonian.
