MINORS FINAL 5/6: WHAT A NIGHT OF PITCHING!

Gwinnett ended a five-game losing streak. Missing Mejia much?

FYI: He arrived in Japan Sunday, and had introductory press conference on Monday. Seibu Lions are currently 10-19. They lwon 4-1 over the Rakuten Golden Eagles Monday -- whose DH is none other than ANDRUW JONES. Paid $3.5 million to cross the pond, he was a big part of the team's 2013 championship, hitting .243 but with 26 homers and 94 RBIs in 143 games. This year so far, 'Druw is plodding along at .211-11-24 in 33 games. P.S.: they give his weight as 101 kg -- anyone want to do the conversion?

Not gonna happen, but if we somehow could cut ties with Uggla, Andruw would be a nice late inning PH option off the bench against lefties.

Put down the friggin' pipe! Andruw is effin' toast. Or maybe I shouldn't say "toast" because he'd eat it.

And Bromberg (who?) outdid them both. What a night for Braves pitching!

I actually met him once years ago. He is extremely Jewish looking, but the cat can play a guitar (and mandolin) like nobody's business. Also, a very cool, relaxed guy (at least he was in the early 1980's).
