MINORS FINAL 5/26: Memorial Monday rallies

After eight games for the Seibu Lions, Ernesto Mejia is hitting .438 (14-32) with two homers and five RBIs. I remain incredulous that the Braves' brass were so thickheaded not to have his bat on the bench the last two seasons.

rico, I get it. You liked Mejia. I liked Hessman and thought he should have been able to find his way on a major league bench (and periodically he did). But who do you leave off the team if you keep a one-position guy like Mejia. Further, if anyone else in the bigs had wanted him, the Braves would have likely found a trading partner before they sold his contract to the Japanese.

Some late game heroics in both Lynchburg and Mississippi.

Some Gwinnett hitters seem to be finding their stroke.
