Veteran leadership is like pitching. You can't have too much of it. That's why I wish Hinske were back. He looked huge as the Cubs first base coach.

I'm sure he did. He gained five pounds a year for each of his twelve years as a player. Without having to waddle out to home plate and swing a bat every other day, he might weigh 500 pounds in a year or two.

actually a lot of his HR's are line drive shots that may just hit the wall in Fenway. Might even be singles. Of course Gattis ( and JUp as well) will have no trouble clearing the deeper parts of that ballpark if they get all of one.I like Freddie here, he lofts those opposite field jobs; usually hits it pretty high.
