Since when are we stretching Walden out and envisioning him as a starter. For crying out loud we got enough effective starters, we need help in the ballpen.

I know you're being funny but he actually started out as a starter.

You can basically pencil in Peraza for either an xbh, or multiple hits and a SB every time out.

He's having a tremendous season. Might be a Top 50 prospect when the mid-season editions come out.

We need to have a showcase and see what % Bethancourt could throw him out.

Should I be more excited about Hursh getting guys out or concerned about his lack of strikeouts? I'm not sure.

He has to be. A guy with that much speed and solid OBP skills with a little projectable power is a valueable commodity. Oh yeah, he plays MIF. YAY!

rico, did you ever get a report on Williams Perez' status? You mentioned he was pulled after one batter the other night.

At what point do you promote Peraza to AA and see if he could be ready to help down the stretch run?

No need to rush him. Maybe a late season promotion to AA but TLS has settled down 2B for now. They might need to start letting him play 3B some as well.

I'd be curious to know if he was more of a strike out guy prior to the injury and changed his approach post injury? TJS is pretty much related to throwing too much and throwing with fatigue. If he was a strike out guy hitting the upper 90s prior to the injury but is now a low to mid 90s guy who throws that pitch with some sink to induce ground balls, then I would say it is an adjustment that will keep his arm healthy.

Peraza with his first homerun on the year! Parsons also looks like a keeper. Maybe even a guy that can compete for a spot late in 2015.
