What would it take to pry jay away from the cardinals? If you could would you be interested? I was thinking heyward cj and a high ml for jay carpenter and Carlos Martinez

Heyward is better than Jay, that makes no sense at all.

Not to mention, there would be no place for Jay to play because BJ Upton ain't going anywhere.

Why do people want to get rid of Beej as soon as he started to look better?

Not trying to get rid of Bj here's here to stay this deal puts a better defender at third a plus arm that can start or relieve and a replacement for heyward. Let's face it he's gone in 2 years. Jay has been a bench bat for stl so he might be undervalued the centerpiece of this deal is Martinez and carpenter. Would stl do it?

I don't believe Heyward is as good as gone. I don't think the decision is looking great but if owernship wants to open up the vault for him he will stay. He is worth it. Also, I've said it before numerous times but Liberty would be wise to make the face of the Atlanta franchise a black man.

It does actually jay is not heyward I'll admit it but he's useful and at the very least we should try to get him even if no big deal is done. Carpenter replaces cj at 3rd Martinez joins the pen. Your looking just at heyward/ jay and not at the rest. Plus I think that Martinez can be a stud pairing him with Teheran minor and wood in the rotation

Honestly can we do both minor and heyward to long term deals? The deal also sheds Johnson's 8 mil a year average. I want to lock up minor probably more then anyone else

Jay is under control for 1 more year or the same as Heyward.

Even still, if Heyward leaves, sign someone in FA.

Of course Stl do it, getting Heyward alone is worth it, it would catstrophically retarded for the Braves to do it.

I'm not convinced they keep Heyward, but it's 40-60 right now, i'd think.

    Yes, we can keep Minor/Heyward.

I want to lockup JUp/Heyward, go from there, i love Minor, great lefties are hard to come by but the Braves have been good with producing pitchers.

Stl isnt trading Carpenter, they just signed him to a long-term deal.

    Not so much on hitters.

Some of us never wanted him in the first place. But Heyward is a keeper and I always believed that.
