I used to think people were crazy for saying Freddy is a horrible manager but no more. Why use varvaro in the 11th when he knew hale was avaliable? Varvaro pitched 2 innings yesterday for god sake. How long is it going to take for the players to start questioning Freddy's moves?

Who are those two arms? How about when Freddy uses varvaro till his arm falls off who replaces him?
I don't know what this team needs other then a complete shake up outside of the starting staff. This offense is a joke and even if we get to the postseason who are we beating really? We are one of the few offenses that can have the bases loaded with no outs and the hitter is the one who's in trouble not the pitcher. The offense has been worse then I think a lot of us could have fathomed.
Where to you put Bj in any other place in the order he's actually hit worse then when he's in the two hole. Hell at this point if rather see a pitcher hitting then Bj.
Heyward's fine. His k percentage is low, the power is way up and his LD% is about the same. A lower BABip is what is hurting him and that will even out. He's still having a good month. If Freeman wasn't going to get moved down despite being horrific for the better part of a month then Jason isn't going to be moved down based on a subpar week. That would just be silly.
All you need is Hart and Cox.

Plus, someone please tell me why Greg Walker still has a job?
Braves1976 (06-16-2014)
At this point I almost wish pap had gotten the job done a 1-0 loss looks better then a 6-1 loss. Although it doesn't help that hale was not able to limit this and not allow a huge inning.
The crux of the problem here--at least to me--is that Carpenter didn't get through the 9th on Sunday night and his ineffectiveness then forced the use of Kimbrel. If Carpenter does his job on Sunday, Kimbrel is available last night. Of course, it doesn't matter who is on the mound if we can't score in extra innings.
I was only watching on Gameday and was a little surprised when Fredi went to Varvaro (who I have always like more than most in here) instead of Hale last night. Hale is probably the next guy heading to Gwinnett and going into the rotation there.
Like I said, shuffling things around now is just like moving the chairs around on the Titanic.
Justin Upton had one of the worst at bats I've ever seen last night with Freeman on 3rd and Shaffer on 1st. They had zero intentions of throwing him anything hittable and he just windmills at everything 2 feet from the plate eventually hitting a mighty infield pop up.
Third. At some point, you have to question the structure of the team and evaluate Frank Wren for some of the poor free agent decisions he made. Dan Uggla, BJ Upton, the Chris Johnson extension, giving up a 1st round pick for Ervin Santana. This team owes Dan Uggla $24 million and is getting nothing out of him. Soon, they will be owing BJ Upton a lot of money to only get minimal production out of him. Honestly, the players that are keeping this team afloat right now are Jason Heyward, Freddie Freeman, Evan Gattis, and Julio Teheran.
