Doumit's bad defense would really hurt us. The most important reason is that Heyward is physically not designed to be a CF because of his size. The extra running would be just an injury ready to happen. It might be something we can do in short spurts like we did in the playoffs last year.

we moved him to CF way before the playoffs and he was fine (until he got beaned, of course). Yeah the LF defense will be worse but Justin is better in RF than LF and Heyward is an upgrade over BJ in CF. Doumit would out hit BJ, not going out on a limb there.
