    Best 1,2 in baseball?

Just some food for thought since today is a much needed off day.

Best pitching combination of top 2 starters in the game?

I think it has to be Dodgers with Kershaw and Greinke. Tigers are second with Scherzer and Verlander.

    Thoughts?

Kershaw greinke for sure. I'd go waino wacha 2nd. Last year may be scherzers best he ever has, and I'm not sure we ever see the same verlander again. He'll probably rebound to be a very good pitcher, but the Cy Young Verlander may very well be gone imo. I'd go...

    1. Kershaw, Greinke
    2. Waino, Wacha
    3. Felix, Iwakuma
    4. Lee, Hamels(if healthy)
    5. Tie between Verlander, Scherzer and Stras, Zimmerman

    1. Kershaw and Greinke
    2. Hernandez and Iwakuma
    3. Scherzer and Verlander

Kazmir has been an awesome story. I had to decide between cutting Santana or Kaz earlier this year for my fantasy team...I made the wrong decision lol

If you've said Scherzer & Verlander you haven't been paying attention this year

What I love about the Kazmir story is that the mets traded him for next to nothing. Then later in his career they pass when they could have had him for a minor league contract and he becomes good again. Just a double FU to the fans.

Strasburg isn't even a legit ace yet. Aces go deep in to games and go all the way. Stras hasn't reached that point yet. He has a long way to go until he's one of the best starters in the game. He has all the potential but he hasn't reached it. Therefore I'd have to put Felix/Iwakuma over Stras/Zim just because having a guy like King Felix makes a huge difference. Also, a healthy Lee/Hamels is better.

    So
    Kershaw/Greinke
    Hernandez/Iwakuma
    (healthy) Lee/Hamels
Wainwright/Whoever you want to select because Waino is that good

Are my guys that are in the running. Obviously Kershaw/Greinke is #1, the rest follow.

Earlier this year I could've easily made an argument for Julio Teheran/Alex Wood

You still can. Although it wouldn't be a strong argument. I have a feeling by the end of the year they will be in the running as a top duo in the league. Obviously not exceeding what the Dodgers have, but they could be in the discussion.
