MINORS FINAL 6/26: SIMS NO-HITTER; Davidson debuts in GCL

Lucas Sims, the Braves' No. 1 prospects on many lists (including mine), combined with Alex Wilson for a nine-inning no-hitter at Wilmington Thursday night. Sims, drafted No. 1 in 2012 from Lawrenceville, Ga., went seven innings and allowed one unearned run before Wilson worked the final two innings (no save).
It has been a less-than-stellar year for Sims so far in Lynchburg, as his ERA has soared over 5.00. But he only turned 20 in May, and is coming off a 12-win, 2.68 season in Rome.

Lucas Sims and Alex Wilson throw a combined no-hitter in Lynchburg's 5-1 win. Hillcats' pitchers gave up six walks, hit a batter, and threw a wild pitch. Hillcats also committed an error to lead to Wilmington's one unearned run.
