    Reds Send Jurrjens To Rockies

Jair, who has been a frequent starter against Gwinnett this year, on the move to Colorado's Triple-A team in Col. Springs in a deal for first baseman Harold Riggins.

    Jair is still only 28!

I love JJ. I still miss the old Apex Predator. However, I don't see great times ahead for him, pitching in Coors.

The Apex Predator was great. But the Tehranosaurus is better

Yep -- against Clayton Kershaw of all pitchers. The Rockies aren't doing him any favors tonight, but I guess that's how he fell into their rotation.

His upside was fine... His injuries were the problem.

He was very overrated by many because of his ERA. But he would still be a MLB starter fi not for injuries. He was like a much better version of Russ Ortiz.

I went to a game in Fenway 2 year ago and he was masterful.

Same him pitch against the Phillies one time where he was perfect through 6.

I'm like his good luck charm.

Congrats to JJ on being back in the Majors, but he hasn't been the same pitcher since his knee injury. I wish him the best tonight and hope he gets a win. But I doubt it happens since Kershaw is pitching. Plus the Rockies have been bad on offense lately too.

He could've been a ~3.70-4 ERA guy for a long time if not for injuries. He would have been a good, solid 4.

I'm not. haha I saw him pitch against the Nationals, his first after his All-star appearance and he gave up like 7 runs or something. :/

Getting Renteria for Marte and then Jurrjens for Renteria is about as masterful a string of trades as a GM can hope to pull off.

You don't prefer Tyler Flowers for Vazquez for Vizcaino for the incomparable Paul Maholm?

So masterful it took two GMs to fulfill.
