2 part question anyone feel free to reply want to know what the general thinking is among braves fans. If Wren were to offer Wood the same exact contract as Teheran...
1) would wood sign that contract
2) should we lock him up?

My question is would it be fair to offer Wood the same money as Teheran? I think Teheran has produced more and shown more upside, so I don't think Wood is worth the same as Teheran. If you offer Wood the exact same it kind of says to Teheran that he's not worth anymore than Wood and I think he knows he is.

Hearing that Tanaka is the latest to have a torn elbow ligament, I'd say the Braves have enough pitchers under long-term deals. There's just so much damn risk in a long-term deal.

Also we have to ask ourselves what the priorities are. To me we shouldn't do anything that reduces our chances of holding on to Heyward and Justin Upton. Maybe signing Wood would have no effect on that, but I doubt it.

I agree and as long as Wood gets up a couple times in between it will also help out moral for the team. I also think Wood could be the reason we got Bj to start with. Someone said Chipper really liked it when Wood and Bj was added to the team.
