    Simmons injury worse than expected

Andrelton Simmons' left ankle was in a splint and he was using crutches in the clubhouse on Wednesday.
The Braves indicated after Simmons tweaked the ankle Tuesday that it wasn't serious, but it swelled up after he stopped icing it. Manager Fredi Gonzalez is hopeful the shortstop can avoid the disabled list, but it's clear the injury is worse than expected. At the very least, he'll sit out Wednesday before the off day Thursday.

We don't' have 40 man space. unless he's done for the year Im' assuming Pena and Bonifacio will play SS. With Pena being the regular.

Though we could probably drop Elmer Reyes from the 40 man, as he doesn't look to be anything more than another Pastornicky at best anyway.

Bring the kid up. This team is going nowhere. Might as well get him at bats in the show.

They do have 40-man space, there is one spot available.

I've been holding out on saying this, and hopefully the Barves prove me wrong. Just doesn't feel like our year. I don't want anyone but Simba at SS, and this just pours salt in the wound of our last week.

If this is a high ankle sprain, then expect him to be in a boot, splint, or cast and be non weight bearing for around 2-3 weeks. He'd have to go on the 15 day DL.

Venters won't be a brave after this season

so we don't need a spot for him after this year either
