The Tony Stewart incident.

I know the kid was an idiot for getting out of his car and standing in the middle of the race track, but after watching the video with full sound it's pretty clear that Tony Stewart revved his engine right before he hit the guy. I think there has to be some sort of charge against Tony
Stewart based on that. There was an aggressive move there by Stewart that led to the demise of the other driver. If he doesn't rev the engine then the 20 year old doesn't get hit at all.

Just listen to the sound on the video right before the incident.

At the least, he opens himself up to a wrongful death lawsuit. If he was trying to scare him, it was a careless action that led to a death.

I honestly think there's a pretty clear manslaughter charge here. In reality I think it's possible Tony Stewart committed 2nd degree murder. But I think it would be impossible for the prosecution to prove that.

However, is it possible he had no idea the other driver wouldn't have the sense not to step out in front of another race car? I'd imagine a possibility is that he rev'd his engine to intimidate the driver, then when he realized what was happening it was simply too late. I'm not advocating, just throwing out a possibility.

Either way, someone dying because of this is sickening.

I wouldn't think there is any way that TS could be 100% at fault. The other driver assumes a TON of liability on himself when he exits a vehicle and hopes to antagonize another moving race car.
